Thanks, BTEC, for the great Job Preparedness Training done in Cayo.  85 people attended and graduated from the seminar. 

"On Monday October 16, 2017, BTEC Certified 85 residents of the Cayo District in the fields of Front Desk, Wait Staff and Housekeeping. The 3 week training culminated in a certificate ceremony at La Loma Luz Adventist Hospital Conference Room. During the ceremony, several of the trainees shared their stories with those in attendance and special guest speaker, Lejia Melanie Gideon, GM of BELTRAIDE handed out the certificates."

Basketball court at La Loma Luz Boulevard - George Price Highway - Hawkesworth Bridge - Burns Avenue - Savannah Area, Joseph Andrews Drive - concluding at the Macal Park.

Starts at 1pm.

The Belize Cancer Society is having the Lets Run for Allen fundraising run on Sunday, June 17th, for Allen Roberson, who is fighting a brain tumor.  The run will go from La Loma Luz boulevard to Galvez Stadium.  All of the proceeds go towards Allen's medical expenses.  Registration is only $20, and a it comes with a t-shirt.  Call Ms. Chicki at 662-2191 for more information.

Rotary is sponsoring an orthopedic clinic at La Loma Luz Hospital and the Western Regional Hospital on July 10th.  Thanks, Rotary!

The Rotary Club of Belmopan is doing their annual Orthopedic Clinics, and they'll be in Cayo on Monday, June 20th, at La Loma Luz in the morning, and at the Western Regional Hospital in the evening.  Thanks, Rotary! 

"The Rotary Club of Belmopan, in collaboration with the Illinois Rotary District 6510 and WPP, announces its annual Orthopedic Clinic, for the Belize Children's Program, with Orthopedic Surgeon from St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Coles L'Hommedieu.  We see children (up to age 18) who are in need of orthopedic care suffering from neck, spine, shoulder, arm, elbow, hand, hip, leg, knee, foot and other types of bone problems and abnormalities"
