The 4 the World team that came down last month to distribute school supplies in Calla Creek, refurbish one of the Mary Open Doors houses, and give classes in female self defense and yoga, made a video of their experience here. Another round of women's self defense classes were given in Cayo this weekend. Belmopan City Online was at the University of Belize to cover the event. Thanks, Renee Wentz, for all your time and effort to keep the ladies safe.

The girls and women who participated learned great tips on how to conduct themselves to avoid becoming victims, what to do if you're being followed, and how to fight back during an actual attack. 4 the World and the Benque House of Culture are doing another free female self defense class today. It'll be at the Benque HoC at 4:00pm. They did the first class yesterday, and there was a great turnout. The training was lead by Robbie Russell.

The Benque House of Culture, along with everyone in Cayo, thanks 4 the World Belize for bringing in Robbie Russell to teach the self defense workshops for women and children. We'd also like to thank Renee Wentz, UB's counselor, for doing a class here in Cayo. More classes should be coming.

Free Female Self Defense Classes will be this Sunday, June the 17th. Renee Wentz, UB Counselor, will lead the 2 free classes in female self defense.
The first will be from 8:30 until noon, in Georgeville, at the Georgeville Community Center. The second will be from 1:30pm until 5:00pm, in Cayo, under Meluchi's palapa.
