The truth is that the environment in the classroom is a key aspect that affects students' motivation for better or for worse.
This article provides four useful tips for teachers to create a positive classroom culture. The first one is about being close to our students by shaking hands at the beginning of the day and by asking them how they are feeling. Then we can ask them their expectations about the class and the people around them so as to get to agreements and ground rules that must be followed in class. Additionally, a team atmosphere must be created in order to make learners aware of the importance of having a good relationship with each other during the courses. Finally, if the efforts are not working, the team needs to get to new agreements again. The article is such a helpful element for future teachers to work together with their students to build a positive environment for learning that is full of teamwork and motivation.

I think it is important to have a good environment in the classroom, fro the students to enjoy the classes and what the teacher is explaining and for the teacher to give a good class, this tips are very useful and allow the teacher to apply strategists to have a good and positive classroom.

This article shows how using media as an aid in the classroom can affect learners thinking´ perceptions, for instance in the way the information is perceived. It is not only stored in the mental scales but it could be internalized through different perception channels using technology, it is a great deal for students and teachers since is material resourceful and interactive. Meaning that teachers will not waste a bunch of time only preparing ONE activity but can develop many different ones using different platforms. The future of education and moreover PUBLIC education

Teaching in a one-to-one school would be great, but it is always nice to have options when you only have one computer. This website is also author to the "18 ways to use just one iPad." My only critique for both articles is that you must have internet connection for the suggestions listed. Most places do have internet, but for the places that don't, or have unreliable internet, what are they to do? Regardless, the suggestions are great activities and lessons. The one piece of software I am familiar

Quite often schools lack funding to have a device for each student, this article is fabulousy creative providing ways a teacher can share the enjoyment with all the students and one device.

Some excellent ideas and resources here. Most of these would also be excellent options to leave with a substitute teacher as they require minimal music knowledge to implement. I love that this caters to classrooms or schools that may not have as many devices available for day-to-day use.

Have you considered having your students create a digital portfolio? As we move more and more to digital technology the ability to do this becomes easier, and the reasons you might do so seem to increase.A few of the reasons you might consider digital portfolio: * students are able to see their progress over time; * it helps you as a teacher be able to track student progress more easily; * it is easy to share with other teachers as students matriculate; * they provide a tool for teacher and student to communicate. One issue that has often stopped folks is how to save these portfolios. This post share four resources that you might consider using to do this: Evernote, Google Sites, WordPress and Edublogs. Each has a short explanation, oftem providing pros and cons.

Using comics appears to be a very engaging way to motivate students into the lesson. The students will be able to create a comic strip within a small group 2-3 or as an individual at the completion of the lesson using software appropriate to their age. I see this as a great option for engaging visual learners and with the use of comic drawings interactive - develop research skills, collaboration, and presentation skills. This is relevant to the SAMR Redefinition high end pedagogy.
