Als das erste Zentrum gegründet wurde, bin ich mir nicht einmal sicher, ob die Laptops bereits existierten».
Das neue Krisenzentrum wird daher in jeder Situation effektiver sein. «Krisen können ein Problem in Cattenom sein, Angriffe, Überschwemmungen oder Epidemien», sagte der Regierungschef. «Niemand ist immun gegen eine Krise. Daher ist es wichtig, einen Ort zu haben, an dem wir das HCPN mit angemessenen Büros haben und an dem wir uns treffen können, mit Kommunikationsmitteln zusammenzuarbeiten, um besser mit dem Ort verbunden zu sein, an dem sich die Situation entwickelt, für die wir eine Entscheidung treffen müssen, die immer sehr schwierig ist».

Ziel des Projektes “Wëssensatelier Lëtzebuerg” ist es, den Nachwuchs durch kreative, spielerische und innovative Aktivitäten sowie Einblicke in die Funktionsweise einiger Firmen für die Technologie zu begeistern.
In diesem Zusammenhang veranstalten seit 2016 die nationale Bahngesellschaft CFL und Da Vinci Asbl Workshops. Dabei können Schüler hinter die Kulissen eines Unternehmens blicken. Das soll bei der späteren Berufswahl helfen. Denn bereits im Alter zwischen 8 und 12 Jahren werde ersichtlich, in welche Richtung (Sprachen, Wissenschaften, Technik, Soziales …) der Berufswunsch von Kindern gehe, wurde am Mittwoch erklärt.

The paid placements are part of a Luxembourg youth graduate trainee programme (LuxYGT), offering young graduates their first experience in various sectors related to aerospace.
The LuxYGT programme was created as a result of an agreement between Luxembourg's Economy Ministry and the ESA in order to develop skills in the space sector locally.
“Renowned internationally for hosting SES, one of the world's largest satellite operators, the national aerospace sector is an example of Luxembourg's engagement in the diversification and innovation in advanced technologies. This additional training provided by ESA allows young graduates to acquire high-tech work experience will be an asset for their future careers,” Economy Miniser Etienne Schneider said of the initiative.
Candidates wishing to apply for the LuxYGT must have obtained their Masters or degree in the past two years. Successful applicants will occupy roles for a period of 12 months with the possibility to extend the placement by a further 12 months.

In Luxembourg's case, where the country due to its size is classed as a “region”, a score of 91 out of 100 was achieved placing it in a respectable seventh position in the rankings.

In 2016, the average rate of compensation of employees in the European Union (EU), in terms of wages, salaries and employers' social contributions, ranged from €44 per hour worked, in the Brussels city region and in Luxembourg, to below €4 per hour worked in three regions in Bulgaria (Severen tsentralen, Severozapaden and Yuzhen tsentralen) and the Nord-Est region of Romania.
The corresponding average across the EU as a whole in 2016 was €23 per hour.
