With the constant threat of such things as natural disasters, cyber attacks, or break-down in supply chains, Luxembourg stands out as one of the most resilient countries, or territories, in the world, according to a new study.
No less than 130 countries were examined in the 2017 FM Global Resilience Index that has now been calculated for the fourth year running. The index ranks the countries to show their strengths and weaknesses, in three main categories; economy, risk quality, and supply chain.
Luxembourg came out on top for the EU hitting an overall score of 95.9 of 100. The report states that the Grand-Duchy has shown "steady improvement" over the years rising from eighth position in 2013 to number two in the world in 2017. It was surpassed only by Switzerland.
