Microfinance: International fintech companies take part in Luxembourg bootcamp | Fincluders Bootcamp #Europe | Luxembourg (Europe) | Scoop.it
The Fincluders Bootcamp -- a two-week long programme dedicated to microfinance  -- starts in Luxembourg on Monday.

The training will involve coaching and mentoring for 12 selected fintech start-ups looking to increase financial inclusion in a number of countries worldwide, from Jordan and Kenya to South Africa and Georgia.

The selected participants will spend one week in the Grand Duchy where they will receive extensive mentoring and coaching as well as take part in peer to peer learning activities.

The participating start-ups were selected through a Fincluders Startups competition organised by the European Fund for Southeastern Europe (EFSE) and the SANAD fund for small and medium-sized entreprises in the Middle East and North Africa.

In Luxembourg, the bootcamp is held in partnership with the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) with the support of the Ministry of Finance and the Aide au Développement Autonome (ADA) organisation.

"Luxembourg is the microfinance centre for Europe and it makes sense to capitalise on this by having 12 really incredible startups from all over the world spend the week in the Grand Duchy learning as well as discussing the latest challenges of financial inclusion and networking with the Luxembourg finance community," said Nasir Zubairi, CEO of LHoFT.
