During a press conference on Wednesday 3 August 2022, Luxembourg's Minister of Economy, Franz Fayot, and the Minister of Higher Education and Research, Claude Meisch, presented the concept of the future "Space Campus", which will be dedicated exclusively to the space sector to ensure the competitive position of companies and public research institutions in this field.

The infrastructure project aims to facilitate installation and bring together players from the national and international space ecosystem who are already present or wish to settle in Luxembourg.

Les ministres de l’Économie et de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, Franz Fayot et Claude Meisch, ont présenté ce mercredi 3 août à l’Université du Luxembourg le Space Campus, annoncé à Dubaï. Un campus réparti sur deux sites, à Kockelscheuer et à Belval, «futur centre de gravité de l’écosystème spatial luxembourgeois».

Ein „Gravitationszentrum“ des luxemburgischen Raumfahrt-Ökosystems: sieben Hektar für Weltraumunternehmen.
(MeM) – Im Großherzogtum soll die Weltraum-Industrie wachsen. Um die Wettbewerbsposition der Unternehmen des Sektors nebst öffentlicher Forschungseinrichtungen zu stärken, entsteht in Kockelscheuer bei Roeser auf sieben Hektar ein „Space Campus“, der ausschließlich dem Raumfahrtsektor gewidmet sein wird. Hinzu kommen Büroflächen in Esch/Belval auf zwei Hektar.
