Diigo vs. Google Keep - A Comparison of Bookmarking Tools - Free Tech 4 Teachers @rmbyrne

Diigo vs. Google Keep - A Comparison of Bookmarking Tools - Free Tech 4 Teachers @rmbyrne | Moodle and Web 2.0 | Scoop.it
During Practical Ed Tech Live last Thursday afternoon I answered a request for a comparison of Diigo and Google Keep as alternatives to Delicious. The video of that explanation was a little muffled by some background noise so I decided to write out my explanation of the key differences between Diigo and Google Keep.

Diigo offers teachers and their students much more collaborative features and is more platform independent than Google Keep. I use Diigo for several years now and cherish the groups feature and the sharable bookmark compilations the most. In a higher education or training setting Diigo saves time and adds a new value to your hand-picked findings/resources.

Some of The Best Bookmarking Tools for Teachers and Educators | Moodle and Web 2.0 | Scoop.it
Bookmarking tools are key to the effective management of digital resources. They allow you to capture  and save important information to read later. Most of these tools provide organizational features enabling users to organize their bookmarked content into boards and collections that can be shared with others. Other tools  even go a step further to provide collaborative features that allow a group of people to collectively bookmark and share online resources. Based on our long experience with reviewing educational web tools, we went ahead and curated for you what we believe are some of the best bookmarking tools for teachers. These are tools you can use to bookmark, annotate and share resources you come across online. We invite you to check out our updated below and share with us your feedback in our Facebook page. Handy New Diigo Browser Extension Features (Free Tech 4 Teachers update)

Handy New Diigo Browser Extension Features (Free Tech 4 Teachers update) | Moodle and Web 2.0 | Scoop.it

"Over the last month I've started using Diigo as my primary tool for bookmarking links. Yesterday, Diigo released a new version of their browser extension. The updated extension includes some features that are quite handy.

The most significant of the updates is a streamlined screenshot process. Now you can click the browser extension to take a screenshot of the page that you're viewing. You can capture all or part of a page in your screenshot.

... If you've never tried Diigo, watch the video below for an overview of its features. ..."
