NewSpace: A New Era In Space Exploration. As one era ends a new one begins: a new golden era in spaceflight. Join us for all the latest headlines in this bold new adventure.
The company Nanoracks has booked a spot in SpaceX rideshare program for their Space Habitat Demo mission, where they will try to build a small space station from used rockets! On the other hand, China is busy preparing their most powerful rocket, the Long March 5, for the Chinese Mars mission.
SpaceX's next-generation Mars-colonizing Starship vehicle could make its first extraterrestrial touchdown just three short years. SpaceX is eligible to propose using its Starship vehicle to carry NASA robotic science payloads to the lunar surface, the U.S. space agency announced Monday 18th November, on missions that could precede future Starship flights with people on-board.
SpaceX has just been selected into NASA's commercial lunar program for sending humans back to the Moon by 2024! So has NASA finally recognized that they can't progress their Artemis program further without SpaceX's help? For us this is the perfect occasion for a thorough SLS vs Starship comparison!
The 70th International Astronautical Congress is in Washington DC this year, and in the first couple of days we had big presentations from Blue Origin, SpaceX and Rocketlab. We expect more news from the event by the end of the week, but for now here's the interesting stories.
Bigelow Aerospace's Next Generation Inflatable Space Habitat is shooting for the moon and hoping to be a part of NASA's Moon 2024 plans! #NASA #Bigelow #Moon2024
What is the radiation risk to SpaceX/NASA astronauts? Today we are talking about how SpaceX, NASA and other space agencies plan to keep their astronauts safe from dangerous levels of radiation while travelling to the moon or even further to Mars. Now there are two main sources of radiation I’ll cover here, those being from the van Allen radiation belts around the Earth and the other more sparse but still dangerous solar radiation, solar flares from our sun as well as cosmic rays. No matter if we are talking SpaceX’s Starship or Apollo, this issue is the same. So how did NASA protect astronauts 50 years ago? What have we learned since the Apollo missions? And how are SpaceX and NASA going to protect astronauts in upcoming missions to the moon which could be coming up in only a few years?

Blue Moon can deliver payloads to the lunar surface, host payloads and even deploy payloads during its journey to the Moon. This lander is hoping to get humans on the surface of the moon for President Trump's Moon 2024 goal. This lander will launch on top of New Glenn.
Is a SpaceX Moon Landing within 2 years possible? Elon Musk had an awesome in-depth conversation with space reporter Jeffrey Kluger and if you haven’’t absorbed any of this, I found this a really great read. Essentially Elon Musk here suggested ‘Well, this is gonna sound pretty crazy, but I think we could land on the moon in less than two years. Certainly with an uncrewed vehicle I believe we could land on the moon in two years. So then maybe within a year or two of that we could be sending crew. I would say four years at the outside.’
This week we welcome on Tim Dodd the Everyday Astronaut to talk about the SpaceX Starship and Super Heavy programs, his experiences in Boca Chica and what we can look forward to with SpaceX's Moon and Mars plans.
We explain the most exciting updates on SpaceX Starhopper news, SpaceX's collaboration with other companies to colonize Mars, NASA moon plans, and many other important developments in the field of space exploration.
As the founder, CEO and lead designer at SpaceX, a private company that makes rockets and spacecraft, Elon Musk envisions a time when his reusable rockets will bring people to the moon and Mars. He's focused on humans becoming a "multi-planet species," and on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, he speaks with Jeffrey Kluger (editor-at-large at Time magazine, and the co-author of "Apollo 13") about his vision for the future.
We are surprised by the new ambitious goal of NASA Return to the MOON within the next 5 years. Despite our excitement, we are skeptical about whether NASA would be able to achieve this goal on schedule and on budget.
In this video, we discuss the recent announcement that SPACEX gave regarding their first private customer, and the purpose behind the mission to go around the Moon. We also dive into some of the technical updates to the Big Falcon Spaceship, their timeline over the next few years, and some questions about the process!
In this Episode, we will take a look at yesterdays anomaly, surrounding Starships pressure tests. We will look at what led up to the event and what the conclusions are that we can take away from it. We will also have a look at NASA's recent announcements for the commercial lunar payload services. Who are the new Partners and what will happen next.
All the space news you need, happening in October. Several more videos coming this week, next video should be up on Friday, Starship Moon and Mars schedule moved up. Exciting stuff. Got enough material for 30 videos now. Just not enough time, considering how long it takes to make a single 10 min video - 3-4 days.
NASA showed off its new space suit prototypes aimed at supporting astronauts headed back to the Moon in the coming decade. There were lots of comments about the aesthetics, but the truth is, all the suit features make engineering sense and this is probably the best suit NASA has ever designed. After all they've had 50 years to improve on things.
Sorry for the low quality video and audio, this was a literal last minute interview opportunity. I hope the high quality conversation makes up for the low quality video.
A look at the difficulties of returning to the moon to establish a permanent presence and many of the concepts and ideas envisioned to help accomplish that goal.
So the time has come where the SpaceX Starhopper test will take place. But this time it won't be a 20 m hop, but rather a SpaceX Starhopper 150m test. Then we also talk about two private spaceflight companies that want to send unmanned probes to the moon in 2021, as well as about Elon's wild idea to nuke mars.

SpaceX is sending signals back to the Trump administration and NASA in kind. Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, said in an interview last week that he believes his company’s spacecraft, could return humans to the moon’s surface sooner than everyone might expect. Despite the acknowledgement of how crazy this initiative would be, he was clear that within two years the mission could be done successfully.
While NASA's moon missions were going pretty strong during the Apollo era, why don't we have a moon base yet?! In this video, we answer this often asked question by exploring the LESA (Lunar Exploration System for Apollo) moon base concepts of NASA back in the 60s and early 70s. Unfortunately, all NASA moon landing and moon colony plans back then were cancelled not least because of the Vietnam war.
