INDIE STUDIOS LLC/GETTY IMAGES A funny thing happened on the way to the U.S. recession of 2024: the irrepressible American economy refused to play along. The Nasdaq slipped 83.78 points, or 0.6%, to 15,011.35, but that was barely a blemish on an annual gain of more than 43%, its best performance since 2020….Story continues…

Klarna, the $7 billion “buy now, pay later” startup with celebrity investors like Snoop Dogg, recently experienced a rare public dispute over who would serve on the board. While the complexities at Klarna remain unique to that company, the issue highlights that building a startup isn’t always smooth sailing. Conflicts can build from within — and Harvard Business School professor Noam Wasserman claims that 65% of high-potential startups fail due to conflict among co-founders. Luckily, experts have strategies that startup founders can use to approach conflicts constructively....
In my college years, I was taken by Buckminster Fuller’s belief in advancing technology as a cure-all for our problems. Decades later, technology to address climate change is advancing fast. Could it be that we’ve got this? Not exactly. Combating climate change is a massive transformation.
