Guide to Mendon Massachusetts Real Estate | Real Estate Articles Worth Reading | Scoop.it
Realtor covering Mendon MA Real Estate and an all around expert on Mendon Massachusetts. Exceptional Realtors services and knowledge for Mendon.
Bill Gassett's insight:

Are you being relocated somewhere into the Worcester County area for a job and need a great town and location for commuting purposes that is close to not only Worcester but also not far from Boston and Providence either? Why not check out the sleepy bedroom community of Mendon Massachusetts?

One of the big attractions for Mendon is the affordability of it's real estate. Compared to some of the towns only 15 minutes further east it is a real bargain. You can get much more bang for your buck in this town by just having a bit longer commute.

Mendon has some really neat attractions including the largest Zoo in the state and also an old fashion drive-in! Located along Rte 16 Mendons drive-in is one of the few left in the state. During the warmer months it is a great place to catch a movie and feel the nostalgia from an era gone past.

If you are looking for a top Mendon MA Real Estate agent to work with for either buying or selling a home I have been working here for nearly thirty years. I have sold everything from luxury executive homes in some of the top neighborhoods to smaller old style colonials affordable for first time home buyers.

Why Purchase a Home In Metrowest Massachusetts | Real Estate Articles Worth Reading | Scoop.it
Bill Gassett's insight:

The Metrowest Massachusetts belt is officially compromised of nine different towns that are located about 30 to 40 miles west of Boston. Although there are only nine officially towns there are a number of other communities in close proximity.

I am not sure that most people actually know what the towns are but that Metrowest is considered a general area near Framingham - Hopkinton.

If you are considering buying a home in the Metrowest region make sure you check out this comprehensive guide I have put together.

Reviews of quite a few towns have been provided. Some of the towns are part of the official nine and others are within a 10 mile radius of the area.

One of the unique things about our area is that towns can vary from one another quite a bit. Real Estate values fluctuate substantially from one community to the next. A large part of the real estate values depend on the towns school system and proximity to major highways.

You will see community reviews for Franklin, Framingham, Milford and Southborough in this review at Hulique News. What Metrowest Massachusetts Towns Are Worth Checking Out?

Massachusetts is home to some truly excellent towns. If you are looking to buy a home there are some towns in the Metrowest area that are worth exploring. These communities are well known places where real estate is a sought after commodity. Check out a few of these featured towns outside of Boston
Bill Gassett's insight:

If you are looking at the potential relocation into the Metrowest Massachusetts area you are going to need to have a decent understanding of the differences in local towns. Each of the towns has unique characteristics that may be right up your alley or be exactly what you don't want.

Most people from other parts of the country don't realize just how different real estate values can be from one town to the next. Much of the local real estate values are determined by the quality of the school system as well as the proximity to Boston.

Generally speaking the closer you get to the city the higher real estate values become for a traditional property. The school system will further drive housing prices.

Take a look at the towns in Metrowest and the differences in real estate values as well as characteristics. The guide will take your through each town with in-depth reviews. If you are thinking about buying in one of these Metrowest towns and have questions about real estate I would be happy to answer any questions.

I consider myself to be an expert given the fact I have been selling real estate here for the past twenty eight years.

Guide to Millbury Mass Real Estate

Guide to Millbury Mass Real Estate | Real Estate Articles Worth Reading | Scoop.it
Top Millbury Massachusetts Real Estate agents guide to town history, demographics, schools, real estate and so much more!
Bill Gassett's insight:

Are you going to be relocating into the Millbury Massachusetts area in the near future? Maybe you are still doing your research about the town but aren't quite sure yet if Millbury would be a good place to live?

If you would like to learn more about what makes Millbury a special place to live have a look at the real estate agents guide to Millbury Mass. In this comprehensive community guide you will not only learn about the local real estate market but will get a good handle on the schools, population, location, local attractions, history of the town and so much more!

One of my favorite things about Millbury is the ability to get new construction under $400,000. If you know anything about real estate in Massachusetts it is very expensive! It is extremely difficult for buyers to find a new home in their budget.

Millbury offers one of the best new construction values around! Right now there is an exceptional new home project called Casa Verde. At the present time you can buy a new home in the neighborhood for $313,900. This is a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath colonial with 1600 plus square feet and a two car garage.

One of the best things about it is the fact it is not a stripped down house. All of the Casa Verde homes come with custom kitchens, granite counters, hardwood floors and central air. They offer incredible value.

One of the better features of Millbury is its convenient location. It is adjacent to Worcester and has access to the Mass Pike for those who commute into Boston.

Make sure you have a look at our Millbury real estate guide to get a better handle on what makes this town a great place to live!

Affordable Communities Outside Of Boston For a Real Estate Purchase

Affordable Communities Outside Of Boston For a Real Estate Purchase | Real Estate Articles Worth Reading | Scoop.it
In my last review of some of the more affordable towns west of Boston for purchasing real estate I looked at Grafton and Northbridge Massachusetts. Grafton and Northbridge are located just outside the route 495 belt and offer affordable alternatives for those looking to be in or around the Metrowest area.
Bill Gassett's insight:

Quite often when people get relocated to Massachusetts they end up with severe sticker shock. Without a doubt our real estate prices hear are higher than most parts of the country. This can make it difficult for those moving from other areas to realize the same standards in housing they are accustomed to.

Unless you need to be right near the city however there are some less expensive options for purchasing a great home. One of the popular areas West of Boston is know as Metrowest.

The Metrowest area is roughly 35 to 45 minutes West of Boston. There are a number of excellent towns in and around the Metrowest area. As a buyer what you will quickly realize is there can be a big spread in price from town to town within these communities.

Even moving West of the city real estate can be very expensive. In the article I have showcased a few that would be considered relatively affordable. These towns featured include Milford, Bellingham and Upton.

Take a look and see a brief summary of each of these affordable communities. These towns will afford you more bang for the buck than some of the other surrounding towns.

Find out why those on a budget end up choosing Milford, Bellingham or Upton as a place to call home.

Guide For Upton Massachusetts

Guide For Upton Massachusetts | Real Estate Articles Worth Reading | Scoop.it
When you begin looking to purchase a home in Massachusetts, you discover that there are a number of different towns and communities to choose from. Each has special qualities that lend to its appeal, but nowhere is this more true than in Upton. Small in size but generous in what it offers, Upton draws numerous families and professionals from larger nearby cities. This little town is a big draw for those that want the most bang for their buck and the many benefits of small town life.
Bill Gassett's insight:

Upton Massachusetts is a small town located just west of Hopkinton. One of the big attractions for Upton is the large lot sizes the current town zoning has in place. Many folks flock to Upton for the affordable values combined with how much privacy you can get.

If large home sites are your thing but you don't want to be too far from major commuting areas Upton could be worth checking out!

You can still get to and from most of the larger cities including Boston, Worcester and Providence very easily from Upton.

Upton has a wide variety of real estate options available from condo's around two hundred thousand to executive homes that are priced in the $600,000 range.

Upton has decent schools for those who have school age children. They actually share school systems with neighboring Mendon which is also a nice town as I have previously mentioned here.

Take a look at the detailed guide I have put together for Upton and see if it sounds intriguing. The sign above really says it all - the town has a welcoming small town atmosphere that lots of people really love!
