How To Build a Business Model Like Google, Facebook, Amazon and Apple | Startup Revolution | Scoop.it

Martin (Marty) Smith's insight:

Great advice in here even as I suspect it sounds easier than it actually IS :).

Tom Hood's curator insight, February 22, 2014 10:44 AM

is your next business model a platform?

This great blog post captured by curator Robin Good talks about platforms and the gang of four (Amazon, Google, Apple, and Facebook).

"Today’s dizzying pace of change shows no signs of abating. If anything, it is likely to accelerate. So do everything you can to heed these lessons today, to be as prepared as possible for a vastly different tomorrow."

The ten lessons identified remind me also of the work of Rita McGrath (End of Competitive Advantage) who talks about six key areas in what she calls "The New Strategy Playbook":

1. Continuous Reconfiguration
2. Healthy Disengagement
3. Deft Resource Allocation
4. Innovation Proficiency
5. Discovery Driven Mindset
6. Entrepreneurial Career Management

Showcase Your Pinterest Boards Inside Your Facebook Page with WooBox

Showcase Your Pinterest Boards Inside Your Facebook Page with WooBox | Startup Revolution | Scoop.it

Robin Good: Woobox is a web app which allows you to integrate and display inside any Facebook Page you manage, your full Pinterest board set (or a part of it).

In addition you can get stats on page views, likes and visitors and you can choose to show all of your boards or just the pins from a specific one.

The service is free and can be activated in a matter of seconds.

I have already activated it on my Facebook page here: http://facebook.com/RobinGoodItalia ;

Check it out: http://woobox.com/pinterest ;

I have 2 account in Fcaebook...how can I add the APp on my personal page ? It goes always in the wrong page!
Robin Good's comment, June 14, 2012 3:39 AM
Gaia, Woobox works only on your FB Pages, NOT on your FB profile. That's the reason why you can't get it to do what you want. It doesn't do that. :-)

Martin (Marty) Smith's insight:

Feeds are in all of our futures. Feeds can fulfill Google QDF (Quality Deserves Freshness) needs and increase engagement. Tint looks like a promising tool.
