PLN's are different for everyone because they are personal. Being "informal, online, free flowing, and open to new members" is what makes them so accessible and easy to participate in. I love the idea of smashing PLN's and PLC's together. Collaborative attitudes are needed to make this happen but as the author points out, this is not an either or choice. PLN's and PLC's are needed to make the best teachers to inspire the best students.
