Pakistan's government is in trouble. And its fate may hinge on a Microsoft font.

Remember the famous Panama Papers leak from last year? You know, the one that included documents from tax firm Mossback Fonseca and detailed a vast number of ways that wealthy folks from all over the world were using secretive offshore tax regimes?
Well, mentioned in these leaks, among man others, was the Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, and his daughter, Maryam Nawaz. Now, investigators are alleging that Maryam Nawaz forged documents to hide the fact that she owned properties overseas.
These documents were dated from 2006 using Calibri, the default font of Microsoft Office products. The kicker? Caliber wasn’t released until 2007. Uh oh!

DraftKings and FanDuel, the two biggest daily fantasy sports platforms that originally announced their intention to merge, have called it quits.

The two sports biz giants announced last year that they planned to merge. Turns out that this was nothing more than a fantasy itself. Last month, the FTC announced that they planned to sue and block the merger in order to prevent the potential formation of a monopoly.
Now, the Kings of daily fantasy will have to continue their Duel for industry leadership (as well as continuing to work separately to legalize daily fantasy sports across the US).

New research shows that people who drink a cup or more of coffee per day live longer than their java-free counterparts.
Ally Greer's insight:
In a study conducted over the course of sixteen years (yes, you read that right), a group of researchers set out to observe the association of coffee consumption with death risk. What they found might make your day: study participants who drank one cup of coffee per day were 12% less likely to die compared with those who didn’t drink coffee, and those who drank three cups per day actually say an 18% decrease in death risk.
From the lead author of the study and associate professor of preventative medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at USC, Veronica W. Setiawan:
“We cannot say drinking coffee will prolong your life, but we see an association….Coffee contains a lot of antioxidants and phenolic compounds that play an important role in cancer prevention. Although this study does not show causation or point to what chemicals in coffee may have this ‘elicit effect,’ it is clear that coffee can be incorporated into a healthy diet and lifestyle.”
If you’re afraid of the effects of caffeine, fear not! Decaf coffee proved to have the same impact on study participants as the real thing.
