According to recent reports, the Indian government is considering mandating GST e-invoicing for registered enterprises with an annual revenue of more than Rs. 1.5 crore next year. E-invoicing, a secure and structured technique of producing and maintaining electronic invoices, attempts to reduce fraud and evasion. Following the earlier reduction in the turnover limit, which proved advantageous for tax revenue collection, the government is expecting to bring countless enterprises under the GST e-invoicing system.
