The Tenth Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigen Workshop – HLDA10 will run a two day Symposium in conjunction with ASI 2014. The HLDA Workshops have evolved from a time when monoclonal antibodies were made in academic laboratories against a variety of antigens, to a time now when antibodies to most proteins can be bought off the shelf. However, there is still a fundamental need to undertake research to ensure that monoclonal antibodies are well validated and bind the target of interest as they become crucial clinical diagnostics and new biological therapeutics.
HLDA10 has followed in the tradition of other Workshops, with a wet laboratory component, characterizing antibodies that bind to leucocyte surface molecules. This Workshop has a particular emphasis on those that identify Human Dendritic Cells and promises exciting new data.
The HLDA10 Symposium will report on the work of HLDA10 presenting studies on DC surface molecules, new therapeutic antibodies and new CD nomenclature.
