Happy Work Folk Are Huggers, Not Walkers - TalentCulture

Happy Work Folk Are Huggers, Not Walkers - TalentCulture | SocBiz Employee Engagement | Scoop.it
June 30, 2009 “They call them Walkers.” Rick the recruiter whispered the words like a desperate prayer while he stood at the 10th floor window looking down on the street. Nishi, Rick’s new boss, was puzzled. “Walkers?” “Yes, Walkers,” Rick echoed, ... Read More
Brian Fanzo's insight:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The happily employed are loyal to the work they love first, then those they do it with and for, where the culture (and business) flourishes and embraces both, and then they’re loyal to the company brand. Create New Customer Experiences to become a Social Business | LinkedIn

Create New Customer Experiences to become a Social Business | LinkedIn | SocBiz Employee Engagement | Scoop.it

I was recently asked “When was the first time you realized you had a passion for social, technology and collaboration and how did that shape your social business experiences?” Now I am 33 years old and remember a time before Myspace and cell phones but this question really got me thinking about what philosophies, technologies and experiences that today makes up my philosophy on social business. Was it using AIM chat or Yahoo forums or maybe it was when I linked TI80 calculators to share notes. I did love using Napster and P2P programs to share files and information even across dial-up.

Brian Fanzo's insight:

My most recent:

“A social business isn't about what or how a company's culture is changed, it’s about a new philosophy and changing their focus to creating new experiences!”

Brian Fanzo's insight:

It is one thing to theorize about social, it is another thing to suggest why a business isn’t social, but perhaps the hardest thing to do is really pin down the blueprint for creating a social business. Perhaps more simply put. What must a company do that wants to be social?
